I am fiddling with some radio control gear scavenged from a remote controlled helicopter I bought on sale. I want to make a pano head that can be remotely turned so I can make 360° panos with animals in the scene (but without me having to be near the camera). I got a larger and more powerful servo to turn the camera but I am confident it not will survive if I mount the camera and lens plus lens rail directly to the servo. I will therefore have to come up with some sort of bearing to mount between tripod and camera.
